Do you feel happy all the times? None of us can feel completely happy and 100 % motivated all the time. But unfortunately, feeling blue or simply unmotivated has become a way of life for many of us he says.

How can we change bad moods?
Our mood and behavior depend on specific nutrients that fuel our brain, nervous system and neuro transmitters. If you are not getting these critical nutrients you may feel demotivated.These mood balancing nutrients increase level of the “feel good “neurotransmitter serotonin. Serotonin keeps us emotionally and socially stable.Besides these it aids better sleep reduces irritability, feelings of stress and promote a sense of well being.

Milk, egg, fish, certain cheeses, nuts etc are good sources to achieve serotonin

Increase your motivation

If you are not motivated to feel good you cannot. Just like increasing serotonin gives you happiness, increasing dopamine will gives you motivation to stay happy. Dopamine helps you get up and get going, stimulates thinking and sex drive. Our body needs folic acid, magnesium, zinc and copper to produce dopamine. Dopamine is converted into two other stimulating chemicals, norepinephrine and adrenaline. Keeping these neurochemicals in balance will give you more get up and go and help you think positive thoughts.

Where to get them?
There are various foods which can naturally enhance your dopamine level such as nuts, whole grain cereals,pulses,green leafy vegetables,brinjal,French beans, ladies finger,apple,banana,beet,chicken,cheese,cottage cheese,eggs,fish,water melon,wheat germ,beans and legumes.
